  • Président is hiring a Chief Feta Officer to create five original feta recipes to inspire the next viral feta trend.
  • The role pays $20,000 plus $10,000 in travel expenses, and the “CFO” will be expected to create original photos, videos, and social media posts.
  • However, applicants must follow one simple rule: don’t add feta to salad.

About five years ago, a baked feta pasta TikTok recipe broke the internet. The video single-handedly had feta blocks flying off shelves and into casserole dishes. One feta cheese producer, Président, is ready to create more viral recipes, and this time, they want the public’s help.

The feta cheese brand is one of the most popular in the U.S., and it’s searching for its first official Chief Feta Officer—and the gig is paid. The lucky cheese lover chosen to be Chief Feta Officer will be an ambassador for Président, developing five unique recipes or culinary concepts complete with photography, social media posts, videos, and recipe spotlights. The CFO will be paid $20,000 for the project and also receive an additional $10,000 for travel expenses.

While the original baked feta pasta craze originated in Finland and then spread around the world, this culinary adventure will not be geographically limited. In fact, the Chief Feta Officer is encouraged to travel the world to find the next viral feta sensation. The only rule? You cannot use feta in salads.

With the “Président-ial Salad Ban” in mind, the opportunity is all about challenging feta lovers to get creative with experimenting with the cheese beyond what it’s perhaps best known—as a salad topping. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with a classic Greek salad, but Président’s goal is to spotlight feta’s versatility in unexpected ways.

“Feta is one of the world’s most versatile cheeses, yet so often it’s confined to salads,” Karine Blake, director of marketing for Président, said in a statement obtained by Travel + Leisure. “We’re here to change that.”

Best of all, no professional chef credentials are required. However, Président is looking for someone with strong storytelling skills who can write, take pictures, and make compelling social videos. The ideal candidate is a passionate foodie with an active social media presence and the flexibility to travel. You also must be at least 21 years old, have a valid passport, and be a U.S. citizen to apply.

Applications are open through 5 p.m. EST on Oct. 21, 2025, giving aspiring Chief Feta Officers weeks to craft their pitch. The official application form and more information on the role can be found at Président’s website.
