Uber Ski Gets You to the Slopes Hassle-free With Gear-friendly Rides and Epic Pass Integration

Your days of schlepping skis across icy parking lots may be over.

Uber just announced the launch of its Uber Ski service, which gives mountain-goers a seamless transport their gear and hit the slopes.

Uber Ski allows passengers to book a vehicle big enough to fit up to four people and all of their ski equipment. Accommodating rides can be booked up to 90 days in advance as part of Uber Reserve, so your mountain crew won’t find themselves stranded at an airport waiting for an extra-large ride to become available.

Users will now see an Uber Ski tile when they open the app. After selecting a ride to the slopes, they can choose between an UberXL with room for two skiers plus their gear, or an UberXXL with space for four powder hounds and their equipment.

The seasonal offering kicks off today, Nov. 13, as ski resorts across the U.S.—and around the globe—are opening their doors. The convenient winter-ride feature will be available through the end of March.

The service is currently available in the U.S., France, and Switzerland, and a Canada rollout is planned for later this year.

Uber is also partnering with Vail Resorts to help streamline the ski-trip planning process. Now, skiers and riders can buy an Epic Pass or one-day tickets via the Uber app.

Full-season Epic Passes include access to over 90 mountains around the world, plus 20 percent off on-resort dining, retail, lodging, and rentals. Perhaps the best perk of all, Epic Friend Tickets are new for the 2025/2026 season, letting pass-holders to hook six of their friends up with 50 percent off lift tickets.

Once season passes go off sale in December, Uber users will still be able to grab Epic Local Pass, which includes 10 days at a select number of resorts for a reduced price, or Epic Day Passes for one to seven sessions on the mountain.

“We are thrilled to offer skiers and snowboarders alike a convenient and reliable way to get to the mountain this season,” Adib Roumani, Uber’s director of engineering, said in a press release shared with Travel + Leisure. “And, thanks to our new partnership with Epic Pass, everything you need for a great time on the slopes can be reserved with just a few taps in the Uber app. With Uber Ski, you can spend more time enjoying the fresh mountain air and less time worrying about how to get there.”

Vail Resorts owns and partners with some of the most sought-after ski areas in the world, including Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, several Colorado resorts, and intercontinental destinations in France, Austria, Switzerland, Australia, and Japan.
