Amazon is selling 'lightweight' $105 Allbirds sneakers for $52, and reviewers say they are 'breathable'

One major appeal of the Allbirds brand is its sustainability. The majority of the materials the company uses are renewable, and the brand is actively working to reduce its carbon footprint. These sneakers feature an eucalyptus tree fiber upper, castor bean oil-based insole foam, and sugarcane-based EVA SweetFoam midsole. Even the shoelaces are made from recycled plastic bottles.

I have tried the women’s version of this shoe and can attest to the comfort and breathability of these sneakers. My feet tend to get hot easily, and I found that the mesh-like upper worked well to keep my feet cool in the summer. These sneakers are also machine washable, which I took full advantage of.
